I found new ejector springs on Numrich but will have to make some lever springs as they were out of stock. I have aquired a Champion Iver Johnsons Arms & Cycle Works 20 Choke bore barrel and lug forged in one shotgun, model 5134XI. 410 (bottom barrel in 1st photo) does not stick out very far. I am guessing the springs were shot since these are almost 100 years old and are in a constant state of compression when the action is closed. The ejector lever’s were also different which is probably due to the lug size (2nd photo). 410 did not have the guide rod nor the hole. The 16 gauge had a guide rod that was in the auto ejector spring that poked out of hole at the end when the ejector was pushed in (3rd photo). I was surprised to find the lug area under the 16 gauge was actually smaller than the lug under the. I guess I won’t find out if you can convert a standard to an auto ejector. 410 I discovered it was also an auto ejector. 28 NOTICE This shotgun should not be sold, transferred, or given to any one prohibited by law to possess a firearm. Last week I broke apart my 16 gauge to see what the auto ejector looked like, and when I broke down the. One of the problems is there are seven different Ejector Levers on Numrich. I am guessing I would need an Auto Ejecting Extractor, an Ejector Spiral spring, and different Ejector Lever. I read that the Auto Ejector was accessory that you could pay extra for, so I don’t think switching this feature out would hurt anything. I don’t want to take apart my 16 Gauge to figure out what to buy. I see the parts on Numrich, but do not know what parts I would need to make it work. I have an IJ Champion 16 gauge that has the Auto Ejector and like the fact that the shell automatically eject when the breech is open. 410 that was made between 1920-1929 (one letter at the end of the serial number), and it has the standard Non-Auto Ejector. much appreciated. Is it possible to convert an Iver Johnson Champion from a Non-Auto Ejector to an Auto Ejector, and if so what parts would I need to replace? Does anyone have a diamgram or exploded view of the Champion that would help in the disassembly of the Ejector and Ejector Lever? Thank you for letting me ask some questions. Crescent,Peerless,Empire Arms 12 Gauge Single Shot Hammer & Pin In Used Condition. But I am not sure of how consistent I can get the coverage or depth in the color. I am considering methods for Bluing and have been looking at Oxpho Blue. What is the proper order for re-assembly ? There seems to be a lot left out in the videos I have lots of pics of my own project for reference points when it is time to reassemble. I have also watched a good number of videos where folks are working a similar project. So I have a new butt stock and it is now fitted to the action (forearm can be reconditioned). The shotgun was in really bad shape when I got it with brown rust (it really was rust not bluing) and the butt stock shattered beyond reclamation. but for today I need some expert advice on a Excel. I love to shoot as often as I can get out. I am new to this forum but not to rifles and shotguns.
